Maintenance Technician II Lead
Company Information:
A Columbus manufacturing company is hiring a Maintenance Lead to join their team! This is a direct hire opportunity with a growing company that manufactures healthcare products in a clean, state-of-the-art facility.
This position is responsible for coordinating daily maintenance activities, supporting equipment reliability, assigning priorities, and serving as a technical resource for maintenance and setup technicians. The ideal candidate will have strong industrial maintenance experience, leadership abilities, and a passion for developing team members while driving production uptime and operational efficiency.

Schedule:
- Monday- Thursday 6:30am - 5pm
- Sunday- Wednesday 8:00 pm- 6:30am
- Overtime as needed
Job Duties:
- Assign and prioritize daily maintenance and setup tasks based on production needs and equipment priorities
- Monitor task completion and ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently
- Maintain a strong floor presence by assisting with troubleshooting and removing barriers that impact production
- Coordinate with production leadership regarding equipment priorities, downtime, changeovers, cleaning, and sanitization schedules
- Serve as a mentor and technical resource for Maintenance and Setup Technicians
- Assist technicians with complex troubleshooting, major repairs, and equipment-related projects
- Review equipment performance and maintenance history to identify opportunities for preventive maintenance improvements
- Ensure work orders, maintenance documentation, troubleshooting notes, and corrective actions are completed accurately
- Support equipment reliability initiatives to minimize downtime and improve production efficiency
- Follow all GMP, safety, PPE, and Lockout/Tagout procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Requirements:
- Technical certification or equivalent maintenance experience preferred
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance knowledge
- Proven ability to coordinate priorities and support multiple maintenance activities simultaneously
- Previous leadership, mentoring, or team lead experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, technical manuals, and equipment documentation
- Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment while complying with safety and GMP standards
- Ability to climb, lift, crouch, stand for extended periods, and perform physical maintenance activities as needed
