Job Summary/Company Information: 

 

A Columbus Company is looking to add a 1st & 3rd shift Maintenance Technician to their team.

  • The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for completing hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical maintenance on the machinery

Pay/Benefits:

Schedule:  

  • Monday- Thursday 6:30am - 5pm
  • Sunday- Wednesday 8:00 pm- 6:30am
  • Overtime as needed

Job Duties:

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production equipment to minimize downtime
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing machinery and facility equipment
  • Repair and replace mechanical components including cylinders, bearings, clutches, fill heads, crimp heads, belts, chains, and gears
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems including sensors, motors, switches, relays, and low-voltage circuits
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and machine documentation
  • Complete hydraulic and pneumatic system repairs and adjustments
  • Perform facility maintenance including plumbing repairs, door and hardware repairs, lighting maintenance, and HVAC filter changes
  • Respond to machine alarms, equipment failures, and emergency maintenance requests
  • Follow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), GMP, and company policies
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and parts usage documentation
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects
  • Work closely with production teams to ensure equipment reliability and efficient operations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring equipment issues

Requirements:

    • Previous maintenance, mechanical, electrical, or facilities maintenance experience preferred
    • Working knowledge of mechanical systems, sensors, and low-voltage electrical troubleshooting
    • Ability to diagnose equipment issues and complete repairs safely
    • Ability to read maintenance manuals, equipment documentation, and work instructions
    • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
    • CMMS experience preferred
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment and comply with safety and GMP requirements
