Machine Shop Manager

South Central Indiana | Up to $120,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

A well-established manufacturing organization in South Central Indiana is seeking a Machine Shop Manager to oversee daily machining operations while developing a culture focused on quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys mentoring employees, driving operational performance, and creating efficiencies throughout the operation.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Leading and developing a team of machinists, operators, and production personnel
• Driving productivity, quality, and safety initiatives throughout the department
• Coaching and mentoring employees to build a highly skilled workforce
• Partnering with engineering, quality, maintenance, and production teams to achieve business objectives
• Monitoring workflow, staffing, and equipment utilization to ensure production goals are met
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency
• Creating an environment where employees are engaged, accountable, and focused on results
• Supporting continuous improvement efforts and operational excellence initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Leadership experience within a machining, CNC, or manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of machining operations and production workflows
• Experience developing employees and building successful teams
• Knowledge of quality systems and manufacturing best practices
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Continuous improvement mindset with a desire to drive positive change

Preferred Experience

• CNC machining and tooling knowledge
• Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience
• Technical training or manufacturing-related education
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a production environment
