Job Summary
Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring experienced Industrial Sewing Machine Operators for an exciting opportunity with a client in the textile and apparel manufacturing industry. This role is ideal for candidates with strong garment construction knowledge and hands-on experience in production sewing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate industrial sewing machines, including walking foot single needle, serger (overlock)
- Perform sewing tasks on adding slings to the Commercial Laundry Bags assembly
- Read and follow patterns, measurements, and work orders to meet production specifications
- Inspect materials and finished products for quality, durability, and accuracy
- Maintain consistent stitch quality, fabric alignment, and finishing standards
- Support production targets in a fast-paced manufacturing or workshop environment
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized workspace
Requirements
- Proven experience operating industrial sewing machines (Juki machines, sergers, and walking foot single needle machines preferred)
- Minimum 1–3+ years of experience in garment construction or textile production (more experience considered an asset)
- Strong understanding of commercial sewing patterns and garment construction techniques
- Ability to perform detailed work including assembly, stitching, and finishing
- High attention to quality, consistency, and detail
- Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines
- Reliable and available for immediate start
