Temporary Bookkeeper

Location: Libertyville, IL | 100% Onsite
Pay: $25–$30/hour, based on experience
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week | Approximately 8:30am–4:30pm or 9:00am–5:00pm
Duration: Approximately 30 days
Start Date: ASAP

A company in Libertyville, IL is seeking a Bookkeeper to assist with a short-term accounting project. This individual will help bring financial records current and provide hands-on bookkeeping and accounting support.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is comfortable jumping into an existing accounting environment, working independently, and helping get financial records organized and up to date.

Responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations
• Update and catch up outstanding financial records
• Enter and review financial information in QuickBooks
• Assist with general bookkeeping and accounting tasks
• Identify and help resolve discrepancies within financial records
• Support the team in bringing accounts and records fully current
• Complete additional accounting-related tasks as needed throughout the project

Qualifications

• Previous bookkeeping, accounting, or junior staff accountant experience
• QuickBooks experience required
• Strong experience with or understanding of bank reconciliations
• Comfortable working with financial records and identifying discrepancies
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to hit the ground running with minimal training
• Available to start quickly and commit to the approximately 30-day project
