Part-Time Medical Eligibility & Billing Specialist
Pay Rate: $15.00 – $18.00 / hour (commensurate with experience)
Schedule: Part-Time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (20 hours/week)
Location: Ocala, FL (On-site)
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Medical Eligibility Biller to join our healthcare team in Ocala, FL. In this role, you will be responsible for verifying patient insurance eligibility, processing medical billing tasks, and managing patient accounts.
Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility prior to scheduled appointments.
Utilize EMR/EHR software to enter, update, and manage patient demographic and billing information.
Review, prepare, and submit medical claims to commercial and government payers.
Follow up on unpaid, pending, or denied claims and resolve coverage discrepancies.
Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
Experience: Prior experience in Medical Eligibility, medical billing, insurance verification, or healthcare administration required.
Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Greenway Health OR eClinicalWorks (eCW) EMR is required.
Background Check: Must be able to pass a standard criminal background check.
Skills: Strong attention to detail, reliable data entry skills, and clear verbal/written communication.
Hours: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Monday through Friday (20 hours per week).
Location: On-site in Ocala, FL.
