Pay: $16–$18/hr DOE
Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–3:30 PM; overtime required as needed
Location: Shreveport, LA 71104

A steel manufacturing facility in Shreveport is looking for a Steel Production Machine Operator to join its production team. This position operates industrial equipment used to expand or enlarge openings in steel components to meet production specifications.

This is a hands-on manufacturing position for someone who is comfortable working around steel, machinery, and production equipment. Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience is preferred.

Job Duties

• Operate production machinery used to expand/enlarge holes and openings in steel components

• Load, position, and remove steel parts from equipment

• Follow work orders, measurements, and production specifications

• Inspect finished parts to ensure proper sizing and quality

• Use measuring tools as needed to verify finished dimensions

• Make basic machine adjustments during the production process

• Handle and move steel materials throughout the work area

• Maintain a clean and organized workstation

• Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing guidelines

• Assist with other production and shop duties as needed

Requirements

• Previous manufacturing, machine operation, metalworking, or steel experience preferred

• Comfortable working with industrial machinery and steel products

• Ability to read and follow measurements and production instructions

• Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail

• Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift

• Dependable attendance and ability to work in a production environment

• Must be available for required overtime when production demands it
