Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Counter Sales / Customer Service Representative for a busy vehicle salvage yard. This role involves assisting customers with purchasing used auto parts, processing transactions, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Position Summary

The ideal candidate is customer-focused, dependable, and knowledgeable about automotive parts. You will greet customers, help identify the correct vehicle parts, process transactions, and ensure a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers purchasing used auto parts.

• Use knowledge of automotive parts to identify and help customers select the correct parts.

• Answer customer questions in person and over the phone.

• Process cash and credit card transactions accurately.

• Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

• Coordinate with yard staff to locate and pull parts.

• Maintain a clean and organized front counter area.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of automotive parts is required.

• Previous automotive, auto parts, customer service, or retail experience preferred.

• Comfortable handling cash and operating a register/POS system.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Dependable, team-oriented, and able to multitask.

Work Environment

• Vehicle salvage yard / auto parts setting.

• Customer-facing position with steady foot traffic.

• May involve walking outdoors and exposure to weather conditions.
