Pay: $48.00–$52.00 per hour

Company Vehicle Provided for Travel Between Sites

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join a growing team supporting commercial vehicles and heavy equipment across multiple Southern California locations. This is a direct-hire opportunity offering competitive pay, a company vehicle for work-related travel between sites, and the opportunity to work on a wide variety of specialized equipment.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on experience troubleshooting trucks and heavy equipment, and the ability to independently diagnose problems and determine the appropriate repairs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic systems

• Troubleshoot and repair diesel and gasoline engines, transmissions, drivetrains, brakes, steering, suspension, HVAC, and electrical systems

• Inspect and repair aerial lifts, bucket trucks, cranes, trailers, pullers, tensioners, compressors, and other commercial and construction equipment

• Utilize diagnostic software, computerized testing equipment, OEM service information, and technical manuals

• Adjust, replace, rebuild, and install equipment and components

• Perform preventative maintenance and unscheduled repairs

• Complete welding, fabrication, and equipment modifications as needed

• Test completed repairs to ensure safe and proper operation

• Complete work orders and maintain accurate repair and inspection documentation

• Track preventative maintenance, inspections, and work orders using Fleetio

• Assist with parts procurement, inventory, and vendor coordination

• Help ensure equipment meets applicable DOT, BIT, OSHA, manufacturer, and company safety requirements

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of experience working with commercial vehicles, heavy equipment, or industrial/construction machinery

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

• Experience working with hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems

• High school diploma or GED required

• Technical school or trade certification preferred

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

• Class A CDL is preferred, but not required

• Ability and willingness to travel between Ventura, Moorpark, and Pomona locations as needed

Compensation

$48.00–$52.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
