A leading manufacturer of custom engineered products, serving aircraft manufacturers, airliners, aircraft operators, completion centers and MRO’s worldwide is seeking a Repair Station Tech to join their team in Chatsworth.

Summary: The Repair Station Technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and testing aerospace electrical components and assemblies in accordance with approved technical data, Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), work instructions, work orders, teardown reports, and quality standards. This position requires strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs and rework of aerospace electrical components and assemblies in accordance with CMMs, work instructions, work orders, and teardown reports.
  • Read and interpret aerospace electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Build, repair, and install electrical assemblies using approved drawings, fixtures, tooling, and specifications.
  • Operate required hand tools, including calibrated wire crimpers, wire strippers, and other electrical assembly tools.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with company quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Support and practice continual improvement of the company's Quality Management System (QMS) while adhering to established procedures and work instructions.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area through good housekeeping practices.
  • Communicate work status, issues, and production updates clearly with supervisors and team members.
  • Provide instruction and guidance to fellow technicians as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred minimum of 3 years of experience reading and interpreting aerospace electrical schematics.
  • Experience using electrical assembly and repair tools is preferred.
  • Aircraft wire harness assembly or repair experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in an FAA Repair Station or aerospace manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Additional technical education or vocational training in electronics, aviation maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and solve problems efficiently.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
