Quality Admin Assistant

Full time – Temp to hire

Monday through Friday – 6am to 2:30pm

$21hr to $23hr depending on experience.

A leading manufacturer of custom engineered products, serving aircraft manufacturers, airliners, aircraft operators, completion centers and MRO’s worldwide is seeking a Quality Admin Assistant to join their team in Chatsworth.

Summary: This position provides administrative support to the Inspection Department and assists in maintaining the company's Quality Management System in compliance with AS9100 standards and FAA regulations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities while supporting quality assurance and inspection activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Quality Assurance and Inspection departments.
  • Support Receiving Inspection activities, including documentation and First Article Inspection (FAI) paperwork.
  • Perform part marking for incoming materials and outgoing products.
  • Assist with maintaining repair logs and customer-required quality reports.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain quality documentation and records.
  • Improve documentation and traveler coordination between Production, Expediting, and Quality departments.
  • Support quality checkpoints and stage-gate inspection processes throughout production.
  • Coordinate documentation for products and outside services requiring inspection before shipment or receipt.
  • Process incoming parts documentation and inspection records.
  • Assist Quality Inspectors by preparing and completing required documentation accurately and on time for customers, the FAA, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Support compliance with the Repair Station Manual and AS9100 Quality Management System requirements.
  • Assist with supplier quality audits and collect supplier performance data for management reporting.
  • Compile, organize, and maintain quality metrics and compliance reports.
  • Manage and maintain the equipment calibration tracking system.
  • Perform additional administrative and quality-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Associate degree in a related field or equivalent quality administration/quality assurance experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and information management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees at all organizational levels.
  • Positive attitude with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Preferred:

  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing or a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations and repair station documentation.
  • Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation and calibration management.
