Monday through Friday - 8:30am to 5pm
$19hr to $22hr depending on experience.

A manufacturing company equipped with advanced machinery and innovative technology, specializing in the formulation and production of a wide range of skincare products, including creams, lotions, serums, and masks, is seeking a QC Receiving Inspector to join their team in Chatsworth.

Summary: The QC Receiving Inspector is responsible for inspecting, sampling, and releasing incoming raw materials, packaging components, and finished goods used in the manufacturing of skin care and personal care products. This position ensures all received materials meet company specifications, GMP requirements, and regulatory standards before being approved for warehouse storage or production use.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform incoming inspections of raw materials, packaging components, and finished goods according to SOPs.
  • Verify received materials against purchase orders, certificates of analysis, specifications, and receiving docs.
  • Collect representative samples for testing and retain samples as required.
  • Conduct visual inspections for damage, contamination, labeling accuracy, and packaging integrity.
  • Record inspection results accurately in quality management systems and inspection logs.
  • Place materials in quarantine, approved, or rejected status based on inspection outcomes.
  • Coordinate with QA, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Production departments regarding material disposition.
  • Maintain proper identification and traceability of all inspected materials.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, GMP standards, ISO requirements, and company quality procedures.
  • Investigate and document non-conforming materials and support corrective action activities.
  • Monitor warehouse conditions to ensure proper storage of approved and quarantined materials.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of sampling and inspection areas.
  • Participate in internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections as needed.
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts and material reconciliation when required.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and quality systems.
  • Understanding of cosmetic and personal care manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications, COAs, SOPs, and batch documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory/ERP systems.
  • Ability to identify quality defects and make objective inspection decisions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
