Maintenance Technician

Overview: 

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting a Temporary Maintenance Assistant for a residential property management community in Silverdale, WA. This hands-on position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in maintaining clean and attractive properties, and has experience with general maintenance, painting, and groundskeeping duties. 

 

The ideal candidate will have previous maintenance or handyman experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently while contributing to the overall appearance and upkeep of the property.

 

Responsibilities: 

• Perform interior and exterior painting projects 

• Complete paint touch-ups throughout the property 

• Assist with groundskeeping and general property cleanup 

• Remove trash, debris, and other unwanted materials from common areas 

• Pressure wash sidewalks, breezeways, and other exterior common areas 

• Clean and maintain shared community spaces 

• Prepare vacant units for new resident move-ins 

• Perform drywall patching and minor cosmetic repairs 

• Clean vacant units as needed 

• Replace light bulbs and basic fixtures 

• Keep maintenance areas, tools, and supplies organized 

• Assist with general property improvement projects as assigned 

• Follow safety procedures and company standards at all times 

Qualifications:

• Previous maintenance, handyman, groundskeeping, or related experience preferred 

• Experience with painting and basic repair work strongly preferred 

• Ability to safely operate pressure washing equipment and basic hand tools 

• Reliable transportation to and from work 

• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions 

• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship 

• Ability to work independently and follow direction 

• Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated 

• Strong organizational skills 

• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and attitude 

Physical Requirements: 

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting 

• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and supplies up to 50 lbs. 

• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in various weather conditions 

• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday 

Schedule:

• Temporary assignment 
• Tuesday through Saturday 
• 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM 

 

Pay: 
$21.00 per hour
