Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable MIG Welder (at different levels) / Production Technician to join a highly independent and professional production team responsible for manufacturing custom industrial door systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, MIG welding experience, and the ability to learn multiple products and manufacturing processes. This position requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong commitment to quality and workplace safety.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operate MIG welding equipment and demonstrate the ability to achieve AWS D1.1 welding certification.
  • Perform MIG welding and fabrication tasks according to production specifications.
  • Read and interpret 2D drawings, schematics, and manufacturing instructions.
  • Accurately use standard and metric measuring tapes and rulers.
  • Operate various hand and power tools, including:
    • Drills
    • Saws
    • Impact wrenches
    • Other production and assembly tools
  • Apply basic mathematical skills when measuring, assembling, and producing components.
  • Follow established standard work processes and production procedures.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Use basic computer systems, including Microsoft Office and email.
  • Maintain quality and accuracy throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Attend and participate in required safety training, meetings, audits, and safety programs.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Vocational or trade-school training in a mechanical, welding, manufacturing, or industrial field is highly valued.
  • Previous MIG welding experience preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing, assembly, or maintenance experience is a plus.
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment is a plus.
  • Ability to obtain AWS D1.1 certification.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn multiple manufacturing processes.

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Work primarily on a manufacturing production floor.
  • Work four days per week, 10 hours per day.
  • Stand or remain on your feet for approximately 90% of the workday.
  • Frequently bend, stoop, reach, and perform physical production activities.
  • Regularly lift and handle materials weighing up to 60 lbs.
  • Ability to safely perform welding, fabrication, assembly, and material-handling duties throughout the shift.

We're looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, dependable, and comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment. Candidates with MIG welding, fabrication, blueprint reading, industrial assembly, or mechanical experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
