Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
  • Measure, mark, and layout materials for fabrication.
  • Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, presses, shears, brakes, and punch machines.
  • Cut, bend, drill, and shape metal materials to required specifications.
  • Assemble fabricated components using welding, bolting, riveting, or other fastening methods.
  • Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding as required.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments safely and effectively.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials throughout the shop.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production deadlines.
  • Perform routine maintenance on fabrication equipment as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous metal fabrication experience preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience operating fabrication machinery and hand tools.
  • Welding experience is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Reliable transportation and attendance.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift throughout the shift.
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds; heavier lifting with assistance.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing or shop environment.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection.
