Position Details:
Position Type: Evaluation-to-Hire
Location: Ferndale, WA
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00/HR
What You'll Do
- Lead and coordinate daily activities on assigned production lines
- Enforce food safety standards, GMPs, allergen controls, and sanitation procedures
- Partner with Quality Assurance to perform routine quality checks and verify product specifications
- Identify and isolate non-conforming products to prevent contamination and reduce waste
- Promote a zero-accident culture through safety leadership and PPE compliance
- Ensure OSHA and company safety requirements are followed
- Conduct routine workplace safety inspections and maintain a clean work environment
- Allocate labor and direct workflow to maximize production efficiency
- Train and onboard employees on SOPs, safety procedures, and equipment operation
- Coordinate shift handoffs and document production metrics, yields, and downtime
- Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and escalate maintenance concerns as needed
- Operate production equipment and assist on the line during staffing shortages or peak production periods
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in food processing or manufacturing
- Understanding of HACCP principles, food safety requirements, and manufacturing processes
- Previous leadership experience such as Lead, Trainer, Coordinator, or similar role preferred
- Ability to translate production schedules into clear tasks for team members
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and twist throughout the shift
