Store Manager

Salary: $68,000–$75,000/ per year

An Edmonton client is seeking an experienced and hands-on Store Manager to lead a high-volume retail location and oversee all aspects of store operations, team performance, customer experience, and sales.

Store Manager Highlights:

• Lead a store team of 9–12 employees, including two Assistant Store Managers.
• Oversee daily store operations while remaining hands-on with approximately 60% of time spent on the sales floor and 40% in the office.
• Manage customer experience and follow up on customer feedback to maintain high service standards.
• Create staff schedules and conduct regular one-on-one meetings with Assistant Store Managers.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee development.
• Review daily and weekly sales and labour reports and communicate results, opportunities, and achievements to the team.
• Develop strategies to increase average order value and optimize merchandising.
• Oversee performance management and employee development.
• Lead the execution of promotions, events, and seasonal initiatives.
• Maintain store appearance, signage, merchandising standards, and seasonal displays.
• Ensure workplace health and safety standards are followed.
• Provide hands-on leadership and step into operational duties as required.
• Make store-level decisions related to merchandising strategy and sales performance.

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of Store Manager experience, ideally with experience overseeing multiple direct reports.
• Strong retail management experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Powersports, automotive, or sporting goods industry knowledge is an asset but not required.
• Comfortable using computers and retail technology; familiarity with Shopify, Zoro, and Microsoft 365 is expected.
• Understanding of recruitment and employee management practices.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Ability to manage shifting priorities and make independent decisions.
• Strong customer service and leadership skills.

Hours & Wage:

• Salary: $68,000–$75,000 per year
• Employment Type: Full-time, permanent
• Schedule: Approximately 40 hours per week on a semi-rotating schedule.
