Location: Rochester, NY
Schedule: 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
Base Pay: $22.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on experience
Shift Differential: Additional $1.25 per hour
Total Hourly Pay: $23.25–$31.25 with shift differential

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Maintenance Technician II for a local manufacturing company. This overnight position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment and facility systems to support safe, efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues with production equipment and facility systems.

• Perform preventive maintenance, identify potential equipment failures, and recommend improvements.

• Repair and rebuild pumps, motors, gearboxes, glue pots, forklifts, printing presses, die-cutting machines, and other equipment components.

• Complete fabrication work and recommend outside contractor assistance when needed.

• Assist with equipment installations and machinery modifications according to manufacturer specifications and applicable National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.

• Perform facility maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, painting, work area construction, and roof maintenance.

• Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), equipment setup reduction projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Communicate equipment concerns, repair progress, and unresolved issues to the incoming shift.

• Follow standard operating procedures and safety requirements.

• Keep work areas clean and organized, and return tools to their proper storage locations.

• Perform other maintenance duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

• Minimum of three years of production equipment maintenance experience.

• Strong mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and ability to operate hand and power tools.

• Working knowledge of electrical systems, carpentry, plumbing, welding, and machining.

• Ability to read blueprints and electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and basic math skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all organizational levels.

• Ability to work in confined spaces while following required safety procedures.

• Reliable attendance and availability to work third shift and overtime as needed.
