CNC Machinist – Direct Hire

Location: Rockford, IL
Pay: Up to $35/hour – Based on Experience
Schedule: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Overtime as needed | Saturdays as assigned
Direct Hire Position

A global manufacturing company is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join their team.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and machining centers.
Load and edit CNC programs and make machine adjustments.
Read and understand blueprints, work orders, and job instructions.
Select and install proper tooling.
Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
Make adjustments to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances.
Complete production and quality records.
Use an ERP system to process work orders.
Assist with process improvements and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Follow all safety and PPE requirements.
Assist and train other employees as needed.

Qualifications

- CNC machining and setup experience.
- Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing drawings.
- Experience using precision measuring tools.
- Good basic math skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to troubleshoot and make machine adjustments.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety and quality.
