Mechatronics Engineer

Are you passionate about designing, building, and improving real-world systems? We're seeking a hands-on Mechatronics Engineer to support the development of prototype equipment and engineered systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working both at a CAD workstation and in a shop environment, bringing concepts to life through fabrication, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.

Pay

$65,000 - $150,000 annually
Pay depends on experience, skills, and qualifications.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, assemble, and wire prototype equipment and systems
• Integrate electrical, mechanical, and electronic components
• Perform testing, troubleshooting, and system validation
• Select components and materials for projects
• Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
• Prepare engineering documentation and technical records
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams throughout the design and build process
• Support continuous improvement of prototypes and engineered systems

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Previous industry experience preferred
• Strong mechanical and electrical assembly skills
• Ability to read and develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
• Experience with CAD software and engineering design tools
• Comfortable using hand tools, instrumentation, sensors, electronics, and prototype hardware
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work in a hands-on shop and prototype development environment
