Lead Sign Installer / Repair Technician

Location: Rolling Meadows, IL
Pay: $26–$30/hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Overtime: Must be available for overtime, including Saturdays

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Lead Sign Installer / Repair Technician for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Rolling Meadows. This position is ideal for a skilled technician with experience installing and repairing electrical signs, lighting, price signs, pole lights, and related equipment.

The Lead Installer will work at customer locations, oversee installation and repair work, communicate with customers, document completed jobs, and identify additional service opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the installation, maintenance, and repair of: Electrical signs, Gas station price boards and letters, Light fixtures, Pole lights, Cooler lights, Outdoor/exterior lighting
• Take before-and-after photos, measurements, and job notes and upload them into Jobber.
• Complete required quality checklists and job documentation.
• Obtain site manager approval and payment when required.
• Obtain customer signatures upon completion of work.
• Communicate professionally with customers and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
• Inspect customer locations for additional repair or service opportunities.
• Document additional opportunities in Jobber and communicate with the office regarding potential quotes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience installing and repairing signs, price signs, lighting, pole lighting, or similar equipment.
• Strong electrical knowledge and hands-on troubleshooting experience.
• Fluent in English and Spanish required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Comfortable using computers and mobile technology for job documentation.
• Experience with Jobber, Jibble, or Expensify is a plus.
• Gas station/fuel industry experience is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and lead work at customer locations.
• Must be dependable and willing to work overtime, including Saturdays as needed.

Schedule & Compensation

• Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Saturday work as needed
• Overtime available/required based on business needs
• $26–$30/hour, depending on experience and qualifications
• Temp-to-Hire opportunity
