Production Operator

 

Our client is looking for a self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented Production Operator to be part of our growing team. 

 

What You’ll Be Doing

· Properly load  cartons and dividers into former machine

· Monitor forming process and dispose of any incorrectly formed cartons following disposal/recycling guidelines

· Bail scrap cardboard during and at the end of the scheduled shift

· Safe operation of bailer equipment

· Remove banding from cardboard stacks and dispose of strapping using appropriate methods of disposal

· Monitor and comply with all requirements to eliminate carton waste

· Perform quality checks including entering data into computer software proficiently

· Maintain clean, safe, and efficient workstations – dispose of trash in correct disposal methods (cardboard recycling, area cleanliness including used rag recycling). 

· Ability to start equipment and identify basic mechanical issues

· Support all changeover requirements of commodity product

· Other duties as assigned

 

What You’ll Bring

· Minimum of high school degree or equivalent

· Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience

· Ability to stand and walk for periods of time

· Able to work scheduled overtime or shift changes when required

· Able to lift to 50 pounds periodically throughout the manufacturing shift and meet physical requirements of position including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, reaching with both hands/arms, ability to visually inspect product

· Basic math skills

· Excellent communication skill set (verbal, written, etc.)

· Mechanically inclined to perform minor machine corrections within job responsibilities
