Material Handler
Located in Verona, WI
Salary: $22- $25
We are seeking a detail-oriented Material Handler to join our client's warehouse team. This position is responsible for receiving, staging, storing, moving, and shipping materials in a regulated manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate is organized, safety-conscious, comfortable using warehouse equipment and computers, and able to accurately complete documentation and inventory transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, drum dollies, stretch wrappers, and pallet exchangers.
- Receive, move, stage, and store materials throughout the warehouse.
- Re-palletize bulk bags and drums, including frequent manual lifting.
- Maintain an organized and clean warehouse and storage areas.
- Stage materials for manufacturing and quality control activities.
- Properly handle hazardous materials and waste according to established safety procedures.
- Stock materials according to company procedures and applicable regulations.
- Perform monthly inventory cycle counts.
- Schedule and coordinate emptying of trash compactors.
- Follow all required sanitation and housekeeping procedures.
Shipping & Receiving
- Load and unload trucks.
- Inspect and receive incoming materials for accuracy and condition.
- Verify labels and material information for accuracy.
- Pick and stage finished products for shipment.
- Prepare and complete shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation.
- Enter inventory and transaction information into an ERP system.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company safety, quality, and regulatory procedures.
- Follow applicable cGMP requirements and maintain accurate documentation.
- Work in accordance with requirements related to food, dietary supplement, pharmaceutical, and/or other regulated products.
- Follow applicable Halal and Kosher requirements as needed.
Additional Duties
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous warehouse or material-handling experience preferred.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, pallet exchangers, or drum dollies.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to work with ERP or other business software.
- Ability to accurately complete written and electronic documentation.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work effectively with coworkers and other personnel.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 55 lbs.
- Ability to move objects weighing up to 220 lbs. using appropriate equipment.
- Ability to frequently bend, squat, reach, and work at or below waist level.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical warehouse tasks throughout the workday.
- Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment.
Hours
1st Shift: 8:30am- 5:00pm, Mon - Fri
Pay
$22.00 - $25.00 based on experience
