We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Custodian to support an educational center in the Vernon Hills area. This temporary position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust assigned areas
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles
• Restock restroom and facility supplies as needed
• Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces
• Report maintenance concerns or safety hazards to management
• Assist with room setup and breakdown for meetings or events
• Follow all safety procedures and facility guidelines

Qualifications

• Previous custodial, janitorial, or general cleaning experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Dependable attendance and positive attitude
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as needed
