| JOB SUMMARY |
| The Technician II is responsible for assembly of new generation containers and repairing of multi-generational containers on company branded containers as assigned. |
| |
| ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
| · Must be able to read a tape measure and have analytical skills necessary to take and compute measurements. |
| · Must have basic computer skills and be able to navigate container repair work instructions on PODS intranet. |
| · Must be able to train new container assembly and repair technicians. |
| · Must work productively, safely, and consistently meet the production goals set by the Supervisor or Manager. |
| · Able to perform light welding tasks (tie down brackets, door tracks) |
| · Able to perform simple cutting operations with oxy/fuel equipment |
| · Maintain a clean work area including tools and equipment to eliminate potential hazards. |
| · Basic knowledge of construction practices, procedures, techniques, tools, equipment, and materials. |
| · Ability to read work instructions, knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in construction work. |
| · Able to determine container wear and/or damage not meeting PODS brand standards and repair containers with a minimal amount of supervision. |
| · Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule while ensuring PODS Quality Standards are met. |
| · Ability to lift objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse temperature conditions. |
| · Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely. |
| · Ability to climb and work on ladders to perform various job duties. |
| · Ability to move materials using a hand cart or pallet jack. |
| · Able to complete a container repair order form marking the quantity of individual part numbers used for accurate billing and relieving of inventory. |
| · Ability to work on a paced assembly line for building new containers. |
| · Ability to pressure wash containers using proper equipment and detergents |
| · Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency. |
| · Attend and participate in daily toolbox meetings and company training programs. |
| · Able to complete forklift training and safely operate a forklift. |
| · Promote and maintain a safe work environment, ensure proper safety and incident reporting procedures are met. |
| · Adhere to all safety policies and perform all tasks in a safe manner including adherence to OSHA regulations. |
| · Work safely to prevent job accidents and injuries; wear all site specific mandated protective equipment including but not limited to bump cap, hearing protection, safety-toe boots or shoes, safety glasses, and gloves. |
| · Complete and pass all training requirements and attend all safety training programs as required. |
| · May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. |
