Job Responsibilities

• Perform production TIG (GTAW) welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, or aluminum components depending on production demands, ensuring proper penetration, bead profile, and minimal distortion.
• Fit, tack, and assemble metal components using clamps, jigs, and fixtures according to job layouts.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and standard welding symbols.
• Measure, cut, grind, and prep metal surfaces to eliminate contaminants like rust, scale, or oil prior to welding.
• Inspect finished welds and fabricated parts visually and dimensionally to guarantee they meet company quality and structural standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and upkeep on welding torches, machines, and fabrication tools.

Job Requirements

• Experience in TIG welding is required. 
• Must successfully pass a hands-on 2G plate welding test (horizontal groove weld test) evaluated via visual inspection and/or bend testing to verify skill level and structural compliance.
• Proficiency in TIG (GTAW) welding techniques across various material thicknesses. (MIG/FCAW experience is considered a strong plus).
• Strong ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and utilize precision measuring tools (tape measures, calipers).
• High school diploma or similar. 
• A completed apprenticeship or vocational training is preferred.
• Excellent stamina, strength, and dexterity.
• Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
• Sound understanding of welding safety.
• A willingness to learn and work overtime when required.
