Schedule: Monday & Wednesday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM | Tuesday & Thursday, 8:00 AM-2:00 PM

Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals in Waterloo is seeking a Dental Receptionist to join a local dental office. This position will be responsible for creating a welcoming experience for patients while managing appointments, check-in and check-out, payments, and patient information. The ideal candidate will be friendly, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a busy front-office environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and manage the check-in and check-out process
• Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments
• Maintain an accurate and efficient daily schedule
• Collect and process patient payments accurately
• Maintain and update patient and insurance information
• Answer phones and assist patients with questions
• Help minimize scheduling errors and keep appointments running smoothly
• Protect patient confidentiality and sensitive information
• Follow established office policies and procedures
• Provide friendly and professional customer service to patients and families

Qualifications:

• Previous dental or healthcare front-office experience preferred
• Pediatric dental experience is a plus but not required
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Excellent organization and attention to detail
• Comfortable scheduling appointments and collecting payments
• Strong computer and data-entry skills
• Ability to learn dental practice management software
• Professional, friendly, and dependable
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy office environment

Additional Information:

• Part-time, Monday-Thursday schedule
• No Fridays
• Ideal for someone who enjoys working with patients and providing excellent customer service
• Previous dental experience is preferred but not required
