Job Summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician for a full-time opportunity with a local affordable housing community in Washington, PA. This position is responsible for maintaining safe, clean, and comfortable living environments for residents while handling routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, and service requests.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance throughout the property.

• Respond to resident maintenance and service requests in a timely manner.

• Troubleshoot and perform repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general building systems.

• Help maintain clean, safe, and well-functioning apartments and common areas.

• Utilize a computerized work-order system to document and track maintenance requests.

• Communicate professionally and courteously with residents, visitors, and staff.

• Follow applicable safety standards and housing regulations.

• Travel between communities when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and 2 years of maintenance experience, OR

• 1 year of experience in electrical, HVAC, or plumbing plus 6 months of education in Electricity, HVAC, Plumbing/Fitting, or Carpentry.

• Basic computer skills, including email, web searching, and Microsoft Outlook.

• Ability to use position-specific work-order systems.

• Valid driver's license.

• Reliable access to a registered and insured vehicle for travel between communities.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
