Quality Assurance Specialist

Located in Columbus, IN

Salary: up to $24/hr

Job Summary/Company Information: An automotive manufacturing company in Columbus, IN is hiring a Quality Assurance Specialist to their team. The Quality Technician will work alongside the quality, engineering, and operations teams to ensure company standards are maintained by tracking and maintaining reporting mechanisms. The position involves communication with suppliers, customers, and internal end users.

Quality Assurance Specialist's Responsibilities:

• Investigate problematic issues relating to incoming and outgoing products using analytical and problem-solving skills
• Communicate proficiently with internal and external customers
• Prepare and maintain supplier scorecards and key performance indicators, including scrap
• Manage the return of non-conforming material
• Handle debits and credits adjustments for supplier chargebacks
• Work with internal departments for inventory adjustments and disposition
• Serve as an information source to the manager and other departments
• Maintain supplier and customer contact
• Audit production processes on a regular or occasional basis
• Generate reports for management review using Excel or Microsoft Office products
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Schedule: 1st Shift

• Monday-Friday
• 6:30am-3pm
• Overtime as needed

Qualifications:

• Required: Associate’s degree in business or related field or 2+ years in QA or QC work experience equivalent.
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance terms, tools, and methodology in automotive manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience in key quality system tools — including core tools, control plans, PFMEA, and PPAP.
• Certifications in the automotive quality field.
• Familiarity with QS/TS/IATF automotive standards.
