Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring a Warehouse Associate / Driver for a company in the Mission, TX area.
This is a fast-paced and physically demanding position. The successful candidate will begin by performing warehouse and yard duties and, once hired on by the company, will transition into a route-driving position using a company vehicle.
Perform general warehouse and material-handling duties
Operate reach forklifts and sit-down forklifts
Use RF scanners for inventory and warehouse operations
Perform computer-related warehouse tasks
Load, unload, move, and organize materials
Work both inside the warehouse and outside in the yard
Assist customers and provide professional customer service
Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Follow safety procedures and company guidelines
Work extended hours when needed, including occasional weekends
Eventually transition into a route-driving position after being hired on by the company
Previous warehouse experience required
Experience operating reach forklifts and sit-down forklifts
RF scanner experience preferred
Basic computer knowledge
Must be comfortable working outside in the yard and in hot temperatures
Must be able to work long hours and occasional weekends
Must be able to work under pressure in a high-paced environment
Must be comfortable interacting and communicating with customers
Steel-toe shoes required
No shorts permitted
Must have a valid driver's license
Must maintain a clean driving record for the future route-driving position
Reliable transportation and dependable attendance required
Candidates will initially work in warehouse labor duties. Once hired on directly by the company, the position will transition to include route driving using a company vehicle. A clean driving record is therefore required.
