Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support daily warehouse operations. This position is responsible for accurately receiving incoming materials, preparing outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring products and paperwork move efficiently through the facility.

The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to communicate effectively with drivers, vendors, production personnel, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, count, and verify incoming materials and shipments
• Prepare outgoing orders for shipment, including labeling, packaging, and documentation
• Accurately enter shipping and receiving information into the company’s computer system
• Compare purchase orders, packing slips, and shipments to verify accuracy
• Maintain organized shipping and receiving areas
• Coordinate with carriers, vendors, and internal departments regarding deliveries and shipments
• Assist with inventory counts and investigate discrepancies
• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material-handling equipment as needed
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Perform other warehouse and shipping-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory/shipping software
• Ability to read and interpret packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documents
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to lift, move, and handle materials throughout the workday
• Forklift experience or certification is a plus
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to regularly lift and move materials weighing up to approximately 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and climb as required
• Ability to work safely around warehouse equipment and moving materials
