Role Description The Laboratory Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Sun River, MT. This position is responsible for operating and maintaining laboratory equipment used in cannabinoid extraction, refinement, and testing. Day-to-day tasks include preparing samples, performing routine lab procedures, recording and analyzing data, and assisting with quality control testing to ensure products meet cGMP and internal standards. The technician will follow established protocols, maintain accurate documentation, support troubleshooting of lab processes, and help keep the laboratory clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations. Collaboration with other lab staff and adherence to standard operating procedures are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Strong laboratory skills, including sample preparation, basic wet chemistry techniques, and familiarity with standard operating procedures.
• Experience with HPLCs is desirable.
• Ability to safely operate and maintain laboratory equipment relevant to extraction, refinement, and analytical testing.
• Experience with quality control processes, including documenting results, performing routine checks, and supporting cGMP or similar compliance standards.
• Solid analytical skills for interpreting test data, identifying deviations, and communicating findings clearly to the team.
• Prior experience as a laboratory technician or in a similar scientific or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, laboratory technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, handle laboratory materials safely, and work effectively in a regulated, fast-paced production setting.
