Assist with inventory, purchasing, receiving, and manufacturing-related accounting transactions and reconciliations. ? Maintain vendor records, W-9 documentation, and support annual 1099 preparation. ? Prepare schedules, transaction detail, and supporting documentation for the Controller, CFO, CPA, auditors, and tax professionals as requested. ? Research accounting discrepancies and communicate issues promptly rather than allowing unresolved items to carry forward. ? Maintain organized electronic and physical accounting records and follow established internal controls. ? Performance
Expectations ? Prioritize work based on deadlines, financial impact, and month-end requirements. ? Complete assigned work accurately and on time with appropriate follow-through. ? Verify that transactions are fully recorded before representing an account, reconciliation, or close task as complete. ? Manage recurring responsibilities without repeated reminders and maintain a reliable task/calendar system. ? Demonstrate ownership of assigned work while remaining receptive to review, feedback, and process improvement. Qualifications ? Minimum 5 years of hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience; manufacturing experience strongly preferred. ? Strong working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger activity, and month-end close support. ? Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines and determine work priorities independently. ? Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and investigate discrepancies. ? Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including sorting/filtering, lookups, basic formulas, and reconciliation work. ? Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise and/or NetSuite is highly desirable; experience working through an ERP transition is a plus. ? Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with accounting, operations, purchasing, and outside professionals. ? Ability to handle confidential financial and employee information with discretion. Preferred Experience Experience in a manufacturing company with inventory, work orders, purchase orders, receiving, cost of goods sold, and inventory-related reconciliations is especially valuable. Exposure to payroll support, fixed assets, sales/use tax documentation, and audit or CPA support is also beneficial.
