Express Employment Professionals Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking a full time Senior Accountant for a Philadelphia-based nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening communities and improving quality of life throughout the region. Our client offers a competitive package including an annual salary of $82,000. This position is in office. It is NOT remote.

The Senior Accountant is responsible for the accounting and reporting of various federal, state, local, private foundations, 
and corporate sponsored social service programs.

Key Job Duties:

• Work closely with program leaders to develop budgets
• Prepare journal and closing entries
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual reports including budget comparisons
• Provide schedules for annual audit
• Prepare monthly invoices to funders

Minimum Qualifications: 

• BS/BA degree in Accounting
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Netsuite)
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience working in a nonprofit organization or with nonprofit client
