Forklift Operator

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. This position is responsible for efficiently moving, storing, receiving, and shipping products while maintaining inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate will have experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment and be proficient in using RF scanners for inventory management and order fulfillment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, move, and stage materials throughout the warehouse.
• Use RF scanners/handheld devices to accurately track inventory, pick orders, and update warehouse management systems.
• Pull, verify, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Receive incoming shipments and inspect products for accuracy and damage.
• Maintain proper inventory control through accurate scanning and documentation.
• Store products in designated warehouse locations and ensure organization of inventory.
• Perform daily forklift inspections and report equipment issues promptly.
• Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA standards.
• Support general warehouse operations, including housekeeping and material handling tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of forklift operating experience in a warehouse environment.
• Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems required.
• Previous shipping, receiving, order picking, and inventory control experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent attendance and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Forklift certification is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout a 10-hour shift.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and machinery.
