About the Role

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a full-time General Labor - Recycling Sorter (1st Shift) for a busy processing plant in Maryland Heights, MO.

This is an active, hands-on role where you will work on a conveyor belt identifying and pulling non-recyclable items off the sorting line. When off the line, you will support facility upkeep by sweeping and keeping work areas clean and safe. No prior experience is required—paid on-the-job training is provided!

What You Will Do

• Conveyor Line Sorting: Stand along an active conveyor line to manually pick out and discard items that cannot be recycled.

• Plant Cleaning & Upkeep: Sweep floors, clear debris, and maintain clean work zones around the plant floor during off-line time.

• Material Handling: Assist with clearing sorted bins and staging materials as needed across the plant.

• Safety Adherence: Follow plant safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

What You Need

• Hand-Eye Coordination & Focus: Ability to maintain sharp attention while working along a moving sorting belt.

• Work Ethic: Positive attitude, willingness to perform repetitive sorting, and commitment to general plant cleaning duties.

• Reliability: Solid attendance record, daily punctuality, and dependable transportation to Maryland Heights, MO.

• Screening: Willingness to complete standard pre-employment background checks and screenings.
