Machine Maintenance Technician

📍 Location: Prineville, OR
🕒 Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
💲 Pay: $24.75 - $29.75 DOE

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machine Maintenance Technician to join a growing manufacturing team in Prineville. This position is responsible for maintaining equipment functionality, supporting production operations, and assisting with maintenance-related fabrication projects. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong safety mindset, work effectively as part of a team, and possess experience in industrial maintenance, millwright work, and welding.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Fabricate and modify jigs using truss designs to support high-volume production.
• Update, repair, and maintain existing jigs and fixtures.
• Follow and enforce all safety policies and procedures, with a strong focus on Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) practices.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment throughout the facility.
• Communicate equipment concerns, repair needs, and maintenance updates to management.
• Operate maintenance-related equipment and assist in training less-experienced employees.
• Ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently to maximize production performance.
• Recommend equipment improvements and assist with preventative maintenance planning.
• Complete maintenance documentation and report work progress as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

✅ Strong commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices.

✅ Advanced knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment operation.

✅ General welding experience and fabrication skills.

✅ Working knowledge of electrical systems and PLC functionality.

✅ Ability to obtain and maintain required equipment certifications.

✅ Millwright training or experience preferred.

✅ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

✅ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
• Work performed primarily in an outdoor manufacturing environment exposed to weather, dust, and noise.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
