Express Employment Professionals is hiring reliable and hardworking Environmental Services (EVS) Workers to join a team responsible for deep cleaning and maintaining a local facility. EVS Workers will work as part of a team to complete cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the facility, helping maintain clean, safe, and sanitary environments. This position involves hands-on cleaning duties from floor to ceiling and requires individuals who are dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable performing physical work.

Pay Rate

• Pay: $18 - $20

• Schedule: 6:30am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday (some weekends included) 

Environmental Services Worker Job Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to complete deep cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the facility.

• Clean and sanitize floors, walls, surfaces, fixtures, and other assigned areas.

• Perform cleaning duties from floor to ceiling as directed.

• Use cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment safely and properly.

• Follow established cleaning, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.

• Properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniforms.

• Maintain clean and organized work areas throughout the facility.

• Assist other team members with assigned Environmental Services duties.

• Follow instructions from supervisors and complete assigned cleaning tasks efficiently.

• Report safety concerns, equipment issues, or other problems to the appropriate supervisor.

• Maintain facility cleanliness according to established standards.

• Work efficiently and cooperatively with the EVS team to complete daily assignments.

Environmental Services Worker Work Environment

This position involves physically demanding work and may include:

• Frequent standing and walking for extended periods.

• Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and other physical activity, up to 50 lbs.

• Performing repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the workday.

• Working in various areas of the facility.

• Handling cleaning supplies and equipment.

• Wearing required uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• Working as part of a team to complete cleaning assignments.

• Following established safety and sanitation procedures throughout the shift.

Environmental Services Worker Qualifications

• Previous EVS, environmental services, custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, commercial cleaning, or similar experience is preferred but not required.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Ability to follow basic safety and sanitation procedures.

• Ability to safely use common cleaning tools and equipment.

• Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the shift.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

• Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and lift as required.

• Comfortable wearing required uniforms and PPE.

• Dependable attendance and reliable work habits.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
