Warehouse Associate (Forklift Operator)

Location: Glendale Heights, IL
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable Warehouse Associate to support day-to-day distribution center operations in Glendale Heights, IL. This cross-functional role requires employees to rotate between receiving, unloading, inventory control, cycle counting, order fulfillment, staging, loading, and shipping activities. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, team-oriented, and experienced operating warehouse equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, inspect, and put away inbound shipments, including tires and related products.
• Pick, stage, load, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Perform inventory cycle counts and assist with physical inventories.
• Maintain inventory accuracy using RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
• Operate warehouse equipment, including:
  • Cherry Picker (Order Picker)
  • Reach Truck
  • Clamp Truck
  • Forklifts
  • Electric Pallet Jacks
• Rotate between multiple warehouse functions as business needs require.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, distribution center, or logistics experience preferred.
• Forklift experience required; experience with cherry pickers, reach trucks, and clamp trucks preferred.
• Inventory cycle counting experience preferred.
• RF scanner experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull products weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to work at heights while operating order pickers and reach trucks.

Safety Requirements

• Steel-toe safety shoes/boots are required.
• Must wear required PPE and comply with all safety regulations and company policies.

Compensation

Starting Pay: $19.00 per hour
