Molding Shop Assistant
Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Molding Shop Assistant for a local manufacturing company!

We are seeking a motivated individual to join a growing production team. This position is ideal for someone with previous manufacturing experience who is looking to expand their skills in a hands-on environment. Injection molding experience is a plus, but not required. The right candidate will be dependable, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn.

Pay

• $18.00 - $20.00 per hour DOE

Schedule

• 20-40 hours per week
• Hours may vary based on production demands and customer orders

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup and operation of injection molding machines
• Install molds and dies according to work order specifications
• Monitor machine settings including temperature, pressure, and cycle times
• Load plastic pellets and materials into machine hoppers
• Remove finished products from molds and inspect for quality
• Trim excess material from molded parts
• Sort, count, and package finished products for shipment
• Assist with mixing plastic materials and color pigments as needed
• Grind and recycle scrap plastic material for reuse
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred
• Plastic injection molding experience is a plus but not required
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on production needs
