Tube Machine Operator

$21.00/hr | Grand Rapids, MN

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting a Tube Machine Operator and hiring immediately! This position manufactures, produces, assembles, and inspects tubes on solder lines while maintaining the required production documentation.

We're looking for a dependable, safety-minded individual with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate the tube machine to produce completed tubes
• Assemble tubes with gilling and place them in the strip solder machine
• Inspect and remove parts from solder lines and listen for loose gilling
• Set up and operate RTTS and aluminum tube machines
• Perform light maintenance on machines
• Complete and maintain appropriate production forms and records
• Assist with training others on the tube machine
• Follow all applicable work instructions, safety guidelines, and procedures
• Assist in other production areas when needed and qualified
• Travel domestically or internationally when required by the project
• Perform related work and other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Basic math skills and the ability to learn to use calipers, tape measures, and micrometers
• General computer skills for reviewing specifications and job orders and clocking in
• Understanding of how mechanical components work and fit together
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Willingness to learn new tasks and assist throughout production
• Manual dexterity demonstrated through previous work or related experience
• Ability to pass a pre-employment written math test, physical, drug screen, and background check
• Preferred: One year of experience in manufacturing or a similar field
• Preferred: Knowledge of Epicor or a similar ERP system
• Preferred: Experience with Lean Manufacturing
