Field Auditor

We are partnering with a respected local organization seeking a Field Auditor to support compliance audits, employer reporting reviews, and trust fund operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level accounting professional looking to build experience in auditing, compliance, payroll, and accounting, with future growth potential into accounts payable, payroll, and additional accounting responsibilities.

Location: Downtown Honolulu, HI

Pay: $24 - $28 per hour

As the Field Auditor, You'll Be Responsible For:

• Performing compliance audits to ensure accurate employer contributions in accordance with fund policies and collective bargaining agreements.
• Reviewing payroll records, timesheets, W-2s, 1099s, and related documentation.
• Preparing audit worksheets, reports, and findings for Board of Trustee and Committee meetings.
• Assisting with delinquency reporting and audit status reporting.
• Performing paystub audits as needed.
• Processing apprentice adjustment billings.
• Tracking and processing invoices in a timely manner.
• Supporting payroll activities for the Training Fund.
• Assisting with monthly mailings, filing, scanning, and records management.
• Maintaining inventory records and updating databases.
• Providing backup support for employer reporting functions and presentations.
• Assisting with other accounting, administrative, and operational tasks as assigned.

Our Ideal Field Auditor Candidate:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
• Previous accounting, auditing, payroll, bookkeeping, or administrative experience is a plus.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
• Valid driver's license required for future hire-on responsibilities.
• Reliable transportation.

Additional Details:

• Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• During the temporary period, driving is not required.
• Once converted, occasional driving duties may be required.
