HR Specialist

Location: West Chester, OH

Shift: 1st

Pay: $70k annually

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced HR professional to support recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, HR administration, and compliance within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role will work closely with employees and management while maintaining accurate HR records and supporting day-to-day HR operations.

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of HR Assistant or HR Generalist experience, preferably in aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of employment laws, including FMLA, FLSA, and EEO; ITAR experience is a plus.
• Experience with ERP/HRIS systems; PLEX experience preferred.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in both office and manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities:

• Support full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, scheduling, and onboarding candidates for technical roles.
• Coordinate pre-employment requirements, new hire orientations, employment paperwork, and benefits materials.
• Create and manage job postings in Paycor and maintain accurate employee information in PLEX and personnel files.
• Respond to employee questions regarding company policies and procedures and assist with employee counseling and attendance documentation.
• Prepare and distribute routine HR reports, including absences, vacation, and employment activity reports.
• Process unemployment claims and assist with HR compliance, administrative duties, and special projects.
• Coordinate company-sponsored employee events and activities while providing general HR support as needed.
