Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated site supervisor to oversee the comprehensive waste management program at a local manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and compliant collection, transportation, consolidation, and storage of hazardous, non-hazardous, universal, and non-regulated waste across the site.

 

Starting Pay: $22.25/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm

 

Responsibilities:

1. Waste Collection and Transportation:

   • Perform site-wide collection, transportation, consolidation, and storage of hazardous, non-hazardous, universal, and non-regulated waste.
   • Provide on-call pickup and transport services for waste generated on-site.

2. Compliance Management:

   • Ensure waste containers and labeling are accurate and compliant with RCRA (Resource Conservation and Recovery Act) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
   • Handle and store waste in a manner and timeframe that meets all regulatory requirements.
   • Prepare documentation for all waste shipments covered under this Agreement.

3. Customer Service:

   • Provide excellent customer service by offering new and/or empty containers to waste generators for continued accumulation as needed.

4. Regulatory Compliance:

   • Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and local regulations related to waste management.
   • Implement and enforce waste management policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory standards.
   • Coordinate disposal and manage recovery service scheduling for all by-products.

5. Scheduling and Communication:

   • Schedule waste and empty container shipments efficiently.
   • Formally communicate all scheduled activities to relevant stakeholders.

6. Staff Supervision:

   • Oversee waste management activities during when there is an onsite staffing presence.
   • Train and supervise staff involved in waste management activities.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• Previous experience in waste management or related field.
• Knowledge of RCRA and DOT regulations.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and supervise a team effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willing to receive Hazardous Material Training
