Pay: $18-20 per hour

 

Job Description:

Express Employment Professionals of Albany, NY has teamed up with a local retail and distribution client to help them find a Warehouse Associate. This is a full-time warehouse position involving receiving and shipping, order picking and fulfillment, inventory management, material handling, customer pickups, and general warehouse operations. The position offers a variety of responsibilities rather than being limited to picking and packing. 

 

Pay Rate:

• $18-20 per hour

Work Schedule:

• Monday - Friday
• 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM 

Responsibilities:

• Unload incoming trucks and receive incoming materials
• Stage customer orders and outgoing freight
• Load freight trucks, local delivery trucks, and customer vehicles
• Pick and assemble customer orders accurately
• Properly store materials throughout the warehouse
• Maintain accurate inventory levels
• Process inventory transfers and adjustments
• Complete required warehouse and inventory paperwork
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, carts, and other material-handling equipment
• Use RF scanners and computer systems for warehouse and inventory functions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse
• Assist customers professionally during pickups, deliveries, and returns
• Follow established safety procedures while handling and distributing products 

Experience Required:

• Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, order fulfillment, inventory, or material-handling experience preferred
• Previous forklift or powered material-handling equipment experience preferred
• Experience with RF scanners and basic computer systems is beneficial
• Experience picking and assembling customer orders preferred
• Customer-facing warehouse or distribution experience is a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs
• Ability to frequently handle up to 100 lbs with assistance when needed
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Frequent reaching and material handling
• Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as required by the position 

Dress Code:

• Jeans and work boots or steel-toed boots
• Jeans must not have holes
• Shirts may not contain political or offensive wording
• Professional appearance is important due to the customer-facing nature of the position
