MIG Welder – Fergus, Ontario

$21.00–$23.50/hour based on experience | Full-Time Long term

4-Day Workweek | Monday–Thursday | 6:30 AM–5:00 PM

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for an experienced MIG Welder to join a growing manufacturing team in Fergus, Ontario.

This is a long-term, full-time opportunity with a well-established manufacturing company operating from a modern production facility. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team with opportunities for growth and cross-training.

What You’ll Do

• MIG weld mild and galvanized steel components and assemblies
• Weld steel ranging from 14-gauge to 3/4" thick
• Read and interpret work orders, engineered drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Produce clean, accurate welds while maintaining quality standards
• Work efficiently and safely in a production environment
• Support Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Work collaboratively with the production team to meet production timelines

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years of MIG welding experience
• 2–4 years of experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
• Experience welding mild and/or galvanized steel
• Comfortable working with a variety of material thicknesses
• Strong attention to quality and detail
• Able to read and interpret drawings and blueprints
• Welding diploma or formal welding training preferred
• Welding certifications are an asset, but not required
• Laser welding experience is an asset
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working as part of a team

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift 50+ lbs consistently
• Able to stand for extended periods
• Comfortable with bending, crouching, reaching, and repetitive physical tasks
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing shop environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and physical activity

Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required. There are no public transit/bus routes available to the facility.

Hiring Process

Selected candidates will participate in an in-person interview and practical weld test.
