Position Summary

The Resident Services Coordinator supports residents by connecting them with community resources, coordinating educational and enrichment programs, and promoting independence and overall quality of life. This position focuses on helping individuals and families access services, develop life skills, and build stronger community connections.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, and experienced in social services, community outreach, or resident support. This is a full time position, Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm. The wage range is $21.46-$27.98!

General Responsibilities

The Resident Services Coordinator works independently and collaboratively with staff, residents, and community partners to provide services that promote dignity, respect, and independence. This full-time position involves coordinating resident programs, providing referrals to community resources, and supporting individuals and families in achieving personal and financial stability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Resident Programs and Activities

  • Plan and coordinate social, recreational, and educational activities, including after-school programs, summer activities, and special events.

  • Organize workshops focused on job readiness, financial literacy, parenting, and community resources.

  • Encourage resident participation and support opportunities for personal growth and independence.

2. Resident Communication and Support

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for residents and maintain positive, professional relationships.

  • Provide information, referrals, and resource materials to help residents access available services.

  • Assist new residents with orientations and information regarding community resources.

  • Communicate with residents to identify needs and provide appropriate support.

3. Community Outreach and Partnerships

  • Develop and maintain relationships with social service agencies, schools, government organizations, and community groups.

  • Coordinate with community partners to expand access to services and resources.

  • Participate in community projects, meetings, and initiatives related to resident services.

4. Program Coordination and Recordkeeping

  • Maintain accurate resident files, case notes, program records, and documentation.

  • Prepare newsletters, reports, and other program-related materials.

  • Schedule workshops, monitor participation, and track program outcomes.

  • Assist with program planning, implementation, and evaluation.

5. Professionalism and Confidentiality

  • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive resident information.

  • Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and respect when working with residents, staff, and community partners.

  • Communicate effectively and represent the organization positively.

6. Teamwork and Communication

  • Work collaboratively with staff and leadership to support organizational goals.

  • Share ideas and contribute to a positive, professional work environment.

  • Adapt to changing priorities and complete assigned tasks efficiently.

7. Additional Responsibilities

  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and attention to detail.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Associate degree in human services, social services, or a related field preferred.

  • Two years of progressively responsible experience in social services, community outreach, resident support, or a related field.

  • Experience working with diverse populations and connecting individuals with community resources.

  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

  • Bilingual Spanish skills, including speaking, reading, and writing, preferred but not required.

License and Transportation

  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record required.

  • Must be able to travel to community locations, meetings, and resident activities as needed.

  • Occasional evening, weekend, or overnight travel may be required.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
