Blockmaker – PCC Airfoils 1st Shift

Job Summary:
The Blockmaker is responsible for the preparation, assembly, and maintenance of block molds used in the production of precision-cast airfoil components. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and assemble block molds according to production specifications.
• Handle and mix ceramic slurry and other materials used in mold production.
• Ensure proper alignment and integrity of molds before casting.
• Inspect molds for defects, cracks, or irregularities and make necessary adjustments.
• Operate machinery and equipment used in the blockmaking process.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on molds and related equipment.
• Document production data and report any issues to supervisors.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or foundry environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift and handle materials in a physically demanding environment.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate tools and machinery.
• Willingness to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced production setting.

Work Environment:

• Exposure to high temperatures and industrial noise.
• Standing for extended periods and lifting heavy materials.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
