Shipping & Receiving Clerk – Industrial Manufacturing

We are hiring an experienced Shipping & Receiving Clerk for a busy industrial manufacturing operation in North Dallas. We are specifically looking for someone with 5+ years of hands-on shipping, receiving, warehouse and inventory experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

This is not an entry-level warehouse position. The right person will be comfortable owning incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying materials and paperwork, maintaining accurate inventory, and working closely with production and warehouse personnel.

What You’ll Do

• Receive, inspect and verify incoming materials against purchase orders, bills of lading and receiving documents
• Prepare outgoing parts, materials and equipment for domestic and export shipment
• Load and unload incoming/outgoing freight
• Verify quantities, weights, measurements and identifying information
• Identify damaged material, shortages and shipment discrepancies
• Process, print and record incoming and outgoing materials
• Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate computerized inventory records
• Store, retrieve, stage and move materials throughout the facility
• Prepare shipping labels, cartons, crates and other shipping documentation
• Maintain shipping supplies and complete work-order documentation
• Coordinate material pickups/deliveries with outside vendors
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment as needed
• Work closely with production and other departments to keep materials moving efficiently

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of Shipping & Receiving / Warehouse experience
• Manufacturing or industrial warehouse experience strongly preferred
• Strong experience with Bills of Lading (BOLs), purchase orders, shipping documents and receiving paperwork
• Inventory control and cycle-count experience
• Computer/data-entry experience within a warehouse or inventory system
• Forklift and material-handling experience
• Ability to stay organized while handling multiple shipments and priorities
• Dependable attendance and strong attention to accuracy
• Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment that can be loud, dirty and oily
• Ability to regularly lift/move up to 40 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.

Schedule: 1st Shift
Pay: $20–$28/hr, based on experience
