Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Duct Work Installer to install, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment and controls. This position involves troubleshooting system issues, performing limited electrical repairs, and assisting with sheet metal duct fabrication and installation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, equipment, and controls.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot heating, cooling, and ventilation system malfunctions.
• Perform limited electrical repairs related to HVAC equipment.
• Fabricate, modify, and install sheet metal ductwork.
• Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and machines used to form, bend, and notch sheet metal.
• Safely operate a scissor lift and other aerial equipment when working at elevated heights.
• Measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately using a tape measure and other measuring devices.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Complete preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and components.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow all company safety policies.
• Document service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous HVAC installation, maintenance, or repair experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and components.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication and ductwork installation.
• Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure.
• Experience operating or willingness to learn to operate a scissor lift.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to work at heights using ladders and scissor lifts.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
